Top 10 Caves in Ireland
Ireland's cave country runs along the Carboniferous limestone of the Burren (Clare), Cavan-Fermanagh, and Mayo. The Marble Arch caves straddle the Northern Ireland border and form one of Europe's UNESCO Global Geoparks.
1. Aillwee Cave, Co. Clare
Karst cave. Discovered in 1944 by a goatherd chasing his dog — the most visited show cave in Ireland, with bear hibernation pits and a spectacular waterfall in wet weather. Tour grade A.

Planning an Ireland cave trip
